Chester Bennington’s widow sets ‘record straight’ about New Year’s wedding

Chester Bennington’s widow has attacked tabloid reporters for failing to “fact check” the date of her recent wedding, after she was accused of remarrying on her anniversary with the tragic rocker. Talinda Bennington hit headlines over the weekend (04-05Jan20) after it was claimed she had tied the knot with firefighter Michael Fredman on 1 January (20) – the same day she had become Mrs. Bennington back in 2005. However, she took to Instagram on Monday to clear up the reports after facing criticism from some of the Linkin Park frontman’s fans online. Alongside a photo of the wedding programme, she wrote, “With joy and love I want to set something straight. “ON JANUARY 4th, I wed a wonderful man, great friend, and son this weekend… The day we chose was a day of meaning, in many different ways.” “My anniversary with my love, Chester, JAN 1 Was NOT THE DAYE (sic),” she continued. “Jan 1st will always be the day I married Chester. I would never paint over that beautiful day with anything else.” Talinda then turned on the media for spreading lies with the inaccurate reports: “To all of the tabloids who printed a false story, inciting anger to […]

Rian Johnson working on Knives Out sequel

Rian Johnson appears ready for another sharp sleuthing story, as he’s working on a sequel to Knives Out. With an A-list ensemble cast, off-kilter humor, and cleverly delivered socio-political commentary, the writer-director’s whodunit was one of the best films of last year. It also racked in a strong $247.5 million on a $40 million budget, alongside a Golden Globe nom for Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical. The idea of the follow-up surely would have Lionsgate ready to spin the grinding wheel again, and Johnson says he’s ready to unsheathe another crime mystery. (Read: Conversations with Consequence: Knives Out’s Rian Johnson and Michael Shannon) Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at a pre-Globes party on Saturday, Johnson said he’s already developing a sequel focused on Southern detective Benoit Blanc. Producer Ram Bergman added that Daniel Craig, who earned a Golden Globe nod for the role, is down to reprise the character. “Daniel had so much fun doing it, and he wants to do more,” said Berman. Johnson wants to draw the blade on Knives Out 2 quickly, with hopes to get it in front of cameras before the end of the year — but he’ll have to deliver a script first. In the meantime, […]

Liam Gallagher says it wouldn’t ‘matter’ if no one turned up to his gigs

The former Oasis star supported The Who in the US at the end of 2019, and he says he didn’t take issue with fans of the ‘My Generation’ group who went to get drinks and food whilst he was playing, because he didn’t launch a solo career to “make any more fans or money”. The ‘Shockwave’ rocker – whose UK shows sell out in minutes – admitted: “I’m not doing this to gain any more fans — I’m here because I wanted to be. “I knew I wasn’t going to make any money — I’m just here to sell my record. “So I’m here to do a few tunes because I love The Who and I love Pete Townshend, and I love Roger Daltrey, so it was a bit of a holiday because I was bringing my kids over. “So if people are eating food or whatever … a lot of people keep turning up, and if they’re sitting there with food in their mouths, it doesn’t bother me. “Even if no one turns up, it doesn’t matter, because I’m having a ball out there. So I’m not here for promotion — I’m here just to have a crack at […]

The xx are officially working on new music, and it may be here sooner than later. The material will mark their first since releasing I See You way back in 2017. The British indie outfit broke the exciting news on Instagram on Tuesday, shortly before calendars flipped to the new year. “Looking forward to 2020!” the three-piece posted. “We’ve all been working on new music, can’t wait to share it with you! Hope you have the best new year!” Upon its arrival, I See You was supported with multiple tours and even a mini documentary. Cats estimated to lose up to $100 million

It’s no secret Cats hasn’t gotten off to a good start, but it appears it’s projected to have an equally rough finish. According to Deadline, the Universal/Amblin/Working Title film is estimated to lose at least $71 million dollars after costs– that is if Cats can hit at least $100 million at the box office worldwide. Its box office loss could be even higher — up to $100 million, some rival executives predict — if revenues fall below that worldwide mark. Cats had a production budget of $90 million plus an additional estimated $115 million global P&A costs. That doesn’t count estimated home entertainment costs and global P&A, which could touch down around $226 million. With a star-studded cast including Taylor Swift, Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, James Corden, audiences and critics had fairly high hopes for Tom Hooper’s adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s beloved feline-centric musical. But doubts began to surface after the first trailer arrived, then solidified with the second. Then came the critics’ negative reviews, followed by Universal’s attempt to get a new version of the film into theaters. By the time opening weekend was done, the movie had only made $6.5 million, falling far behind other holiday blockbusters like […]

Cooking clues suggest Gigi Hadid & Zayn Malik are back together

Gigi Hadid has fuelled rumours she and Zayn Malik are back together after sharing a photo of herself cooking a dish devised by the singer’s mum on Instagram. The 24-year-old supermodel has posted a picture of a selection of ingredients online, revealing they are from Trisha Malik’s pasta salad recipe. Zayn’s mum reposted Gigi’s picture and shared a screen grab on her own account of a throwback video of Gigi revealing that her favourite restaurant was “my boyfriend’s mum’s kitchen”. The exchange prompted fans of Gigi and Zayn’s to speculate that the former couple had rekindled its romance, 10 months after the pair called it quits. Some followers suggested Gigi and Trisha were cooking in the kitchen together, but neither made that clear. Reports from November suggested that Gigi and Zayn were back on speaking terms following her split from The Bachelorette star Tyler Cameron. The former couple started dating back in 2015 after Zayn called off his engagement to Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, but called time on their relationship in March last year (18), announcing the split by posting statements on their social media profiles. The singer and supermodel later rekindled their romance in June (18), but the […]
