Tame Impala debut new songs “Patience” and “Borderline” on SNL: Watch

Earlier this month, Tame Impala awarded patient fans with the release of their first new single in four years. On Saturday, Kevin Parker brought his Australian psych-pop outfit to SNL, where they performed “Patience” live for the time. Even more exciting, they used the occasion to debut a second new song, which fans have referred to as “Borderline”. Replay both performances below Presumambly, both tracks are taken from Tame Impala’s upcoming fourth album, which will serve as the follow-up to 2015’s Currents. Sharon Van Etten performs “Comeback Kid” on Fallon: Watch

The great Sharon Van Etten has been making the rounds in support of her tremendous new album, Remind Me Tomorrow. Since the album’s release back in January, she’s appeared on both Kimmel and Ellen, the latter performance proving particularly savage. She was back at it on Monday night with a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. This time, she dazzled late-night audiences by performing the album standout, “Comeback Kid”. Confirmed: Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper to perform “Shallow” at Oscars

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper will take the stage at next month’s Academy Awards to perform “Shallow”, their duet from A Star is Born. “Shallow” is one of five nominees in the Best Original Song category. Other contenders include Kendrick Lamar and SZA for “All the Stars” (Black Panther); David Rawlings and Gillian Welch for “When A Cowboy Trades His Spurs For Wings” (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs); Diane Warren for “I’ll Fight” (RBG); and Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman for “The Place Where Lost Things Go” (Mary Poppins Returns). Along with Gaga and Cooper, the telecast promises Jennifer Hudson, who will sing “I’ll Fight”, and Rawlings and Welch, who will perform “When A Cowboy Trades His Spurs For Wings”. Additionally, the Oscars is teasing a performance of “The Place Where Lost Things Go” by a “surprise special guest.” For what it’s worth, Emily Blunt sings the song in the film. As of now, it’s unclear whether Kendrick and SZA will also take the stage, though we certainly hope that will be the case.
